Watertown, Wis. (July 14, 2008) - Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. has won a Telly Award for their video Relationships and Intimacy. The video was written and produced by Bethesda staff.

This is the second time Bethesda has won a Telly, the first was in 2007 for its video Abuse and Neglect.

Bethesda received this award as part of the 29th Annual Telly Awards, which honors the best local and regional television, video and film productions. The Telly competition received over 14,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents during last year’s competition.

Relationships and Intimacy discusses the various types of relationships people with developmental disabilities experience. It is designed to help teach staff how to support individuals in developing relationships, as well as the proper terminology to use and other issues important to this subject matter.

“We are very proud of the videos created at Bethesda,” says Chief Communications Officer, David Morstad, “Our staff puts forth a great deal of time and effort to ensure that we are creating quality videos to further educate people in the field of developmental disabilities.”

Bethesda has been active in producing staff development videos, designed for health professionals in the field of developmental disabilities, since 1988.

Now in its second century of service, Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the country and around the world.
