Watertown, Wis. (August 4, 2008) Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. will host the 9th Annual Bethesda Foundation Golf Tournament in Horicon, Wis. on Friday, August 22. The tournament, to be held at Rock River Hills Golf Club, begins with a shotgun start at noon.
“We are really looking forward to another great day of fellowship and golf,” says Dr. John E. Bauer, president and CEO of Bethesda. “Last year we were able to raise a net profit of over $37,000 for the Bethesda Foundation.”
The venue, which has a three and a half star rating from Golf Digest, is an ideal place for a relaxing round of golf, featuring an 18-hole course with 13 holes situated on the water.
In addition to a beautiful golf course, the tournament will include other events, such as contests and an auction. “We have a huge variety of raffle and auction items,” says Katey Higgins, Special Events Director for Bethesda. “Some of the highlights include Lasik vision corrective surgery valued at $4,000 and autographed Packers and Brewers memorabilia.”
The deadline for tournament registration is Monday, August 18. The registration fee is $150 and includes lunch, greens fees, golf cart and driving range, as well as a post-tournament banquet. Those who don’t wish to golf are welcome to register for the banquet and participate in the auction and raffle.
To register, visit www.blhs.org/?golf, or contact Katey Higgins at 800.383.8743, ext. 4432.
