|Good Samaritan Program
The Good Samaritan Program provides funding for individuals who receive Bethesda's services whose families are unable to pay for even a part of the care Bethesda provides.
Who is the Good Samaritan Program for?
The Good Samaritan program is designed for groups (e.g. Sunday Schools, Ladies Aides, etc.) who wish to give directly and personally to one of the people who receives services from Bethesda.
If you are not part of group but wish to make personal contributions to a person's cost-of-care balance, we invite you to consider participating in the Caretaker Program.
How does the Good Samaritan Program work?
When your first gift is received, your group will be matched with a specific person. All subsequent contributions to this program will then be applied directly to this person's account.
Donations may be a single gift or regular gifts made quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Reminders will be sent as appropriate.
In addition, we will provide your group with information about the pereson you are supporting as our licensing regulations allow. This may include birthday, likes, dislikes, sizes, etc. Your group may even wish to correspond directly with him or her and send cards, gifts or special packages.
Because these gifts are designated for a specific individual, they are not tax deductible.
How does my group get started?
You can make your first gift online, or you can contact one of our development representatives who can answer any questions and assist you in making your first gift.
