763 Milford St., Watertown, Wis. 53094
The Frontier Mental Health Clinic is designed to specifically serve people with a dual diagnosis of developmental disabilities/mental retardation and a mental illness. Due to the efforts in Wisconsin toward community integration, the clinic is important to improve mental health services available to people with developmental disabilities. This clinic makes good use of mental health professionals who have many years of experience providing services to this special dually diagnosed population.
What services are provided?
Services include counseling, behavior analysis and treatment, functional skills assessment and training for replacement behavior, intellectual testing, adaptive behavior testing, and psychiatric services.
Where are the services provided?
When possible the services are provided at the clinic in accordance with state regulations. However, because many, if not most, of our clients have disabilities that make communication very difficult, behavior services and skill training are provided in their homes or workshop. Counseling services, testing services, and psychiatric services are provided at the clinic.
Where is the clinic located?
The address is 763 Milford St. in Watertown, Wis. We share a building with a day services program; however, the clinic is set up to operate on its own. [Map]
Who works in the clinic?
Nadine Gilbert, LCSW therapist, is licensed by the state to provide psychotherapy and has over 20 years working with the developmental disabilities/mental retardation population.
Vivian Howard, part time clerk, will keep the office organized and running smoothly.
Dr. Tae Gil Kwon, MD, psychiatric consultant, has five years of experience providing service to people with a dual diagnosis and will be providing part-time psychiatric services to the clinic.
As the need arises, more staff will be added who are licensed and experienced working with people who have developmental disabilities/mental retardation.
